- Sun tan is the most common problem everyone of us face. Sun tan causes uneven patchy skin. If neglected it may lead to skin rashes, blemishes and aging of skin.
- Skin color of human is determined by a complex polymer Melanin. Melanin is responsible for color of our skin tone.
- When our skin is exposed to harmful UVA and UVB rays for prolonged time, skin produces more melanin which changes skin color or complexion more darker.
Tip1:Homemade body ubtan for tan removal:
Ingredients:
- 1cup rice.
- 1cup Green mong.
- 1/2cup red lentil.
- Licorice powder or mulethi powder.
Blend rice, green mong and red lentils into a fine powder and add 1cup of mulethi powder. Mix well and store this powder in a container.
Take 3 tbsp of ubtan and add tomato juice or lime juice and mix well to form a paste. Apply this ubtan all over your body and scrub well. Allow it to dry and scrub again to remove the ubtan. Repeat this process thrice a week for amazing results.

- Tomatoes contain anti-oxidant lycopene which act as natural sunscreen and provide protection to skin from harmful UV-rays and reduces tanning of skin .Tomatoes have got astringent properties which helps to control oil in the skin.
- Tomato and yogurt have citric properties which helps to reduce tan. Yogurt helps to treat discoloration of skin caused by tan.
- Add 1tbsp of yogurt to tomato juice and add some sugar as it acts as exfoliator. Massage this to your face, neck, hands. Repeat this twice or thrice a week. This helps in reducing scars caused by tanning of skin.
