Amla Benefits For Hair:

Indian Gooseberry popularly known as Amla is a fruit which has been used since ancient times in ayurveda and medical field.

Reduces Hair Greying:

Melanocytes are cells which are present in body, these cells produce melanin which provides hair natural color. As melanin slows down, greying of hair get's started. Amla helps to slow down melanin and helps in maintaining the natural color of hair.

Home remedies for hair greying using amla:

1.Amla oil

Ingredients:
  • Coconut Oil
  • Amla fruit (5 to 6)

Boil  amla in coconut oil and strain it. Massage your scalp with this oil twice a week and leave it overnight. This helps to stop greying of hair.

2.Amla Paste

Ingredients:
  • Deseeded Amla
  • Water
Make a fine paste with deseeded amla and apply this paste to scalp and wash with water after 30minutes.

3.Amla decoction

Ingredients:
  • Tea Decoction  
  • Amla pieces
  • Eucalyptus oil 
Soak Amla in water for 2hours and add tea decoction and few drops of eucalyptus oil to it. Soak them overnight. Apply this paste next morning by adding 2tbsp of curd and lemon juice to it.  Leave it for 40minutes and wash off your hair. 

Amla for thick hair:

Amla, coconut oil for thick hair:

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams amla
  • Coconut oil
  • Curry leaves

Take 100 grams amla and cut into small pieces and let it dry completely. Now take 1liter or 500ml of coconut oil. Now in a bowl on a flame add coconut oil, dried amla pieces and curry leaves. 
Let the oil boil for 30 minutes on low flame. And leave it for 2 days. Now strain the oil and store it in a jar. Apply this oil twice a week for thick and long hair.

Amla powder and hibiscus flowers:

Ingredients:

  • Hibiscus flowers
  • Amla powder


Blends hibiscus flowers and leaves. Add 1tbsp of yogurt to the mix and 2tbsp amla powder. Mix well and apply this paste to your hair. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash with shampoo.  

Fenugreek seeds and amla powder:

Ingredients:

  • Fenugreek seeds
  • amla powder
  • yogurt

Soak 2tbsp of fenugreek seeds in water and leave it over night. The next day blend them to fine paste and yogurt and 2tbsp amla powder.  Apply this paste to hair and leave it for 30minutes and wash with mild shampoo.

 Amla powder and banana hair mask:



Amla powder( Indian gooseberry) is easily available in any local stores. Amla helps in building long and thick hair. 

To mashed banana add 3tbsp of amla powder and mix well. Apply this mask twice a week would help in long, thick and shiny hair.
