Hair fall and dandruff are the major problems which many of us face in winters. During this season hair tends to become dry and fizzy and difficult to manage. 

Many of us tend to have hot shower bath in winters, but this process makes your skin and hair more dry as hot water takes away moisture from skin and hair.


The condition of dry and frizzy hair becomes more worse in winters.


Tips for hair care in winter:


Tip 1: Apple cider vinegar and lemon


Take 2 tbsp of Apple cider vinegar and add few drops of lemon juice. Wash your hair with this mixture. ACV and lemon are rich source of vitamin C and helps to control dandruff. 


Use this mixture every time after you shampoo your hair.




Tip 2: Hot oil treatment


Mix equal portions of almond, coconut and olive oil. To this mixture you can add 1 tbsp of glycerin if you have very dry and frizzy hair. Just warm the oil and massage it your scalp for good 10 to 15 minutes and wrap hot towel. 






Tip 3: Beer wash


Dilute shampoo and add 1/2 cup of beer to it. Mix well and wash your hair with this mixture. Beer works amazingly for hair. Regular usage of beer to hair helps in making hair shiny, soft and silky. 





Tip 4: Cover your hair


It is important to cover your hair when you step out from home as winter winds would damage your hair.


Tip 5: Banana and Avocado hair mask

Mash ripe banana and avocado into a fine paste and apply this mask for 30 minutes. 

The essential nutrients and strong moisturizing properties in banana and avocado helps to retain moisture on your scalp and makes your hair smooth.


Tip 6: Egg White for dry and frizzy hair:

Egg white has been in use for beauty treatments since ancient times across the globe. 

It is advised to apply oil to your hair before you apply this mask.





To half cup of yogurt add egg white. Mix well and apply this mask all over your hair and massage for 5mins. Leave it for 30mins and wash with mild shampoo. 




Tip 7: Honey mask for winter:

Honey is a natural humectant. It helps to seal in moisture and protects from dry hair.

Add 2tbsp of honey to Oil of your choice. Mix well and apply this mask and massage for good 5mins. Leave it for one hour and wash with mild shampoo. You can even add egg white to this mask.





Tips to follow during winters for hair care:

1.  It is best to use mild shampoo and avoid using too much of shampoo. Because it might make your scalp even more dry.


2. Invest time and massage your hair with hot oil twice or thrice a week. This helps in proper blood circulation and makes hair follicles stronger.

3. Say a big "NO" to hair dryers. As hair dryers make hair dull and even more dry.

4. Condition your hair. Specially in winters you need that extra care for your hair. Try to invest in good conditioners or follow home remedies. 

5. Use scarf when you step out from home.
